Its back for another year. Following on from the ground breaking Ozi VFR tour from last year comes the next section of this very popular tour

The Australian division is proud to release our Outback VFR Adventure. The tour is not like others. You will not just takeoff from an airport and land at the next. You’re going to have to work a little for this one.

You will arrive in Australia as a pilot on an exchange program to work for a small GA airline. Each leg will have a detailed list of your flight path and who or why you will be doing the flight, and all this information is available right on your kneeboard. All charts details can also be found on the board. We have also provided a little information on the area you’re flying over so you will get to learn a few things about our corner of the world.

While the legs where planed around a B350, No aircrafts larger than a Dash 8 will be allowed, and small jets are not allowed.

You will need to fly the leg as instructed, including altitudes for the leg to be validated.

So there is the rundown, get yourself to Alice Springs airport (YBAS) for the start of your first shift.

If you do a good job on this rotation then we may invite you back next year when we do two more states.

INTEGRAZIONE TROPIC

Per poter volare il tour occorre:

1) COSCIALE
Procurarsi il file Ozi_ Outback_Adventures 2008 cliccando  qui. Lo zip contiene un file autoinstallante, che modifichera' il file "kneeboard_keys.htm" presente nella cartella AIRCRAFT di FS9, visualizzabile poi nel cosciale del simulatore (F10) nella pagina "A". Funziona completamente online e non e' quindi necessario fare altro che installarlo.

2) SCENARIO
Scaricate e installate da qui cliccando sul pulsante nero (a metà pagina)  "Voz Download Now":

Se usate FS2004 installate nell'ordine:
lo scenario VOZ 1.5 complete c.a 433 mbyte (che continene le versioni dalla 1.1. alla 1.5)) e
l'upgrade VOZ 1.6 (circa 17 mbyte)

IMPORTANTE - Requisiti per il funzionamento di VOZ:
• Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004 (FS9)
• FS9.1 Patch
• Microsoft .NET 1.1 Framework

2) CONFIGURAZIONE
Dopo l'installazione occorre prima di tutto attivare 4 dei 5 scenari installati nella libreria di FS9.
Gli scenari sono (dall'alto verso il basso, e' importante rispettare l'ordine):
- VOZ EZ-Library
- VOZ Scenery
- VOZ Matts Custom Landclass
- VOZ Matts Dry Custom Landclass
- VOZ Landclass
Degli scenari "VOZ Matts Landclass" attivare solo uno dei due, quello che si preferisce a livello di tipologia climatica (Custom = verde e rigoglioso / Custom Dry = desertico e secco).
Si consiglia di posizionarli appena sopra lo scenario di default "Scenari aggiuntivi", quindi nella posizione piu' bassa, sotto ad altri eventuali pacchetti di mesh (tipo FSGlobal).
Disattivare infine lo scenario fotorealistico di Sidney, installato di default da FS.
Fatto questo nella cartella di Flight Simulator troverete una cartella VOZ che al suo interno avrà l'applicazione VOZ Switcher, che va' utilizzato prima di aprire il simulatore per selezionare la zona di volo (per la prima tappa ad esempio sarà la zona "Central").
Una volta terminato di volare in Australia e chiuso il simulatore, basterà premere il tasto UNVOZ e tutto tornerà come prima.

N.B La guida all’installazione di VOZ per FS2004 dice che automaticamente verrà creato il VOZ Switcher sul Desktop, ma ciò non è vero.
